Brief Overview of Services/Programs |
Lawrence County Client Satisfaction Team:
We listen to concerns and ideas of families,
clients, and professionals have about the mental
health behavioral programs in Lawrence County.
We provide a confidential environment to
advocate and resolve problems. CST empowers,
supports, and educates individual clients and
family members.
The Next Step: The Next Step is a
wellness and resource center for Mental Health
Consumers. We provide a safe environment to
meet with peers, use the computer, play games,
attend educational classes, watch TV, go on
field trips and events, and get information
about the mental health community.
The Lawrence County Representative Payee
Program: The Social Security Administration
or other agency sends the clients benefits
checks directly to LCRPP once payeeship has been
assigned. LCRPP staff works with clients to
develop a budget for the clients’ bills and
daily living expenses based on income and need.
Bills are sent directly from creditors to LCRPP,
and payment is made directly from the program.
Referrals are made to appropriate programs as
needed.
Peer Mentor Program: Peer Mentors are
adults with first hand experience in recovery of
mental illness with a desire to help other adult
consumers of their community learn to recover
from their illness. Peer Mentors have extended
and rigorous training that teaches them
necessary skills to help their peers. We help
you get the most benefits from your services,
and can assist in finding housing, food,
clothing, employment, and education.
