Statement of Services |
LCCAP is made up of three agencies that seek to
involve the community in assessing local needs
and combating the causes and conditions of
poverty. These agencies are Lawrence County
Social Services, Inc., United Community Services
of Lawrence County, Inc., and Allied Coordinated
Transportation Services, Inc.. Through these
agencies, LCCAP reaches out to low income people
to address their multiple needs through a
comprehensive approach, develops partnerships
with other community organizations, involves
low-income clients in the agency’s operations,
and administers a full range of coordinated
programs designed to have a measurable impact on
poverty. |

Mission Statement |
The Partnership is dedicated to enhancing the
quality of life within Lawrence County by
eliminating and preventing the causes and
effects of poverty by mobilizing and directing
resources to assist, educate, and promote
self-sufficiency. |

Brief Overview of Services/Programs |
Transportation, Housing, Employment, Education,
Emergency, Volunteer, Construction and Health
Programs that benefit all ages from birth,
pre-school and school-aged children through
adults to senior citizens. Examples include Head
Start, Pre-K Counts, Medical Assistance
Transportation, Senior Shopping Service, Senior
Veterans Transportation, Disability
Transportation services, CAREERS Club high
school program, Senior Employment and Adult Work
Ready employment services, Community and
Emergency services, Rental and Utility
Assistance programs, LEAD removal services,
Optical Clinic, etc. Please see our website

Seniors Go Online Program provides computer
training for seniors.
