Requirements |

MDT - suspected child abuse victims
2. TLFR - parents who have recently lost their
children to the foster care system
3. NFP - first time mothers before 28 weeks
gestation
4. EHS - families with children 0-3 years of age
and 100% below poverty
5. PAT - families with children 0-5 years of age
6. Teen Fatherhood - teen fathers in the New
Castle School District |

Mission Statement |
The mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center is
to prevent the maltreatment of children
by coordinating the efforts of diverse
professionals who provide services related to
the prevention, education, investigation,
prosecution, and treatment of child abuse. |

Brief Overview of Services/Programs |
1.
MDT - forensic interview and medical evaluation
for children who are suspected victims of child
sexual abuse, physical abuse, sexual
exploitation, and witness violent crime.
2. TLFR - intensive services for parents
including; assessment, individual and group
counseling, case management and referrals.
3. NFP - home visiting by a specially trained RN
to first time mothers enrolling before 28 weeks
gestation. The nurse will visit every other week
until the baby is two years old.
4. EHS - intensive home visiting program for
eligible families every week for 90 minutes by a
certified Family Development Specialist.
5. PAT - home visitation program for eligible
families two times a month for 60 minutes each
visit.
6. Teen Fatherhood - individual and group
education for teen fathers about being a father
and father/child interaction activities.
